Why have a Newborn Lifestyle photo session?

Clients have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to newborn photos.

Posed or lifestyle photos?

So why have a Lifestyle Newborn session?

As a photographer I’m drawn to a simple, natural non-pose, pose. In other words, I put the focus on your newborn baby in a Lifestyle Newborn photo session.

Lifestyle newborn sessions aren’t posed. I think newborns are perfect just a they are. If their eyes are open, great! If their eyes are closed, great! Newborns have their own idea of what’s natural for them. I just go with the flow.

Lifestyle newborn sessions use your nursery and house as the backdrop. Nurseries and cribs are adorable in their own right, but now, your newborn is photographed in their own space which makes them even more special. Your little one probably won’t have the same idea of decorating their room in 13 years when they’re a teenager. What better way to capture the moment than to include the whole setting. The photo then is not only a memory of your baby, but also becomes a time capsule to look back into.

I love capturing the small moments between Mom, Dad, and their newborn. The small kisses, hugs, and sweet smiles are all photographed.

Siblings are always welcome to get in the picture! I love seeing older brothers and sisters marvel at their new baby brother or sister. They love holding, cuddling, and giving sweet kisses! Photographing those moments are just as important as having your newborn photos.

Newborn Lifestyle sessions aren’t just about the sweet smiles of your newborn. They’re about capturing your family and the love between family members. It’s about not having the perfect pose but capturing the perfect moment.
