Moms get in the picture! | Austin and Round Rock Texas Family Photographer

I’ll admit it. I’m guilty of this.

As a Mom, I take photos of my children for them to have when they are older. I want them to remember the fun times, the silly times, and the dirty times of their childhood. I want them to have photos of their birthdays, special events, the sports they played, and the vacations we go on. I want them to have photos of their brothers and sister, and our whole family.

But… sadly, I’m hardly in any photos with my kids.

Usually, it’s because I’m the one behind the camera as the family photographer. And I’m a bit of a control freak and won’t hand my camera off to just anyone. It took me about a year before I felt comfortable giving it to my husband.

If I’m not behind the camera, I always have an excuse. Not a good one per se, but an excuse nonetheless.

However… here comes the dilemma only I can solve.

If I don’t get in any photos with my kids, how will they remember me?

So this Mother’s Day, I’m making it a point to get in a photo with my kids!

And I’m encouraging all Moms to get in a photograph with your kids too! Give your kids a great memory to remember when they’re older. Give them the gift of you!
