The best reason to have family photos with your grown, adult children | Austin and Round Rock Photographer
When our children are young and small, it’s easy to make sure you get that annual family photo with them, Mom and Dad. They’re so cute, small, and as parents, we want to make sure we capture our children in photos before they grow up.
But eventually, our kids do grow up, move out, and become adults.
It becomes harder and feels ‘less necessary’ to take the annual family photo. The ‘kids’ are adults and aren’t feeling the smiling and cheesing for the camera any more. It’s normal; a little sad, but normal.
Why still have family photos taken with your adult children?
Simple.
Because they are still your children, and as parents, you still want to have that memory of them in early or late adulthood.
Plus, your adult children will eventually look back at those photos and love them! They’ll think, “Wow! I looked so young!” and “That was right before I met my wife/husband” or “That was BC (before my own children!).”
The memories we capture of our family in photographs are still moments of time in our lives we will always look back on. Photos of snapshot of our lives.
Keep those snap shots going when your children are adults, grown-up, married, and have children of their own. Your grandchildren will love looking at themselves and parents ‘way back when’.
