Top 4 locations in Round Rock for a Mini-Session | Austin and Round Rock Family Photographer

It’s almost that time of year!

Mini-Session time!

Can you believe September is right around the corner?! 2020 feels like it will never end, but at the same time it is flying by now. Crazy!

I’m sharing my top 5 locations in the Round Rock area where I love to take family photo sessions!

Downtown Round Rock
Although it’s been under construction as of late, downtown Round Rock offers a lot of fun walls, street views, and (hopefully coming soon) covered picnic areas!

Brushy Creek area
This little gem of a creek is great! There are several spots along the creek in which I‘ve photographed families. Once has a small waterfall, another has a small lake, and yet another is just a nice creek bed with rocks.

Round Rock Parks
Round Rock is well known for it’s great parks and trails, so I tend to utilize both during photo sessions. It’s parks provide beautiful shaded areas and greenery as a lovely background to family photos.

Bridges and Open fields
This is a little cheat since both of these are usually in a park, but you do have to know where they are in order to photograph them. Bridges provide natural framing for photos, and Open fields are just fun and beautiful!

These are my top 4 locations in Round Rock, but that’s not to say I don’t have more! I may be planning some indoor studio family mini-sessions this fall… more details to come. Indoor mini-sessions are great since you don’t have to worry about the weather suddenly turning cold or rainy. It’s indoor, so we’re covered and heated (or cooled if it’s still crazy hot outside!).
