Where are my Seniors at?
My photography business has been open for over 6 years now and has definitely grown and changed over the years. When I started out, I was mainly photographing families. Then I branched into lifestyle newborn photos which I quickly fell in love with (and still love!). After a few years, I expanded into commercial, corporate, and branding headshots. Within the past year and half, I’ve started adding Seniors to my expanded portfolio!
One of the reasons I love shooting Seniors is the excitement and energy they bring to each photo session. Each Senior is unique and has s different vision of what they want their Senior Photos to be. Some are athletes and want to focus on their particular sport. While others what several different outfits and looks to go with their sparkling, outgoing personalities. It’s a lot of fun!
I’ve always loved working with teenagers and college students. I worked for Universities in their Campus Recreation Departments for many years employing college students at the Rec Centers. I loved the energy and optimism they brought with them to work each day! I loved helping them figure out their major or guiding them to find their ideal job (and most of them weren’t even going into the recreation or fitness field).
I still love working with teens! I teach taekwondo and kajukenbo to teenagers every week. I hear all about high school, their sports, their love lives, their friendships, family, and everything in-between. I’ve help teens figure out what college they want to go to, but most of the time, I’m an unbiased ear for them to talk to.
Working with teenagers is something I’ve always enjoyed and gravitated to, so it came as no surprise when I started leaning into Senior Photos more. If you’re a Senior, I’d love to help you get the most out of your Senior photos and help you execute your vision!
